Thank you for your support of Seattle Jewish Community School.
Whether you are a parent, a financial donor, a special friend of our school, or a member of our larger community, we are grateful for your part in making sure SJCS remains strong. While tuition covers a significant amount of our operating needs, it does not cover professional development, improvements to our space or the many experiences that have make SJCS the rich environment that families treasure. There are many valuable ways you can contribute to our sustainability and growth:
The SJCS Annual Fund is the school’s annual giving campaign and, aside from student tuition, marks our single most important source of revenue. This vital part of SJCS’s yearly operating budget contributes to every part of the school operation and provides the margin of excellence that makes an SJCS education exceptional.
SJCS has an unprecedented opportunity to transform our school, as well as the Jewish geography of Seattle, with the purchase of our three-story school building and an adjacent house. As owners of this highly desirable property, we will continue to develop an exceptional program that has the ability to accommodate the increasing numbers of Jewish families who choose day school in Seattle.
Our annual SJCS Auction and Celebration occurs each spring. This eagerly-anticipated event brings together community members from across Seattle’s vibrant Jewish community.
Planned giving, gifts that combine philanthropy with estate and financial planning, benefit both you and SJCS. Planned gifts offer both financial and non-financial benefits to you, including helping to fulfill your philanthropic goals, tax savings, asset management, income, security, and gifts to family.
Volunteers provide countless hours in support of SJCS students, programs, and growth. Our volunteers are parents, grandparents, alumni, educators, and community members. Opportunities are boundless and include school-wide events, field trips, and governance, to name just a few.
