Beth Huppin, SJCS 5th grade Judaic Studies teacher, is awarded the prestigious Covenant Award.  Read the well-deserved national and local recognition Beth is getting from the Covenant Foundation, KOMO NewsJewish Federation of Greater Seattle, and JESNA.

 

SJCS Students Are Award-Winners!

5th grader Shai received 2nd Place in the Washington State Holocaust Education and Resource Center 2010 Writing/Art Contest.  View Shai’s work and artist statement. 


4th graders were recognized by the National Humane Education Society for their winning work in the Youth as Humane Educators Contest.  Marcus received 1st place, and Shira received 2nd Place for their winning essays in this national contest.  In the art category, Sarah was awarded 2nd Place and Gabriel received 3rd Place. Stunning Results for SJCS in National Survey

During the 2008-09 school year, SJCS participated in the laregest survey of Jewish day school parents ever conducted.  The Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education (PEJE) and Measuring Success, LLC 6,500 parents in 36 schools to gather parent satisfaction data that woudl allow each school to create an action plan with measurable goals to further advance its mission.  SJCS had the highest satisfaction levels of ALL schools in 13 areas surveyed and was number one in more categories than ANY of the 36 participating schools.  Read More...
