Before- and After-School Enrichment (BASE)
Before-school care is offered Monday through Friday from 7:15 - 8:15 a.m. for families who need an early start to their day. After-school enrichment and care is available Monday through Thursday from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. Students may choose from an array of activities that change quarterly. Sample activities include: Cooking, Chess, Knitting, Drumming, Drama, Soccer, and Homework Club. Extended Day is offered from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. BASE fees vary according to activity and time of day. Registration is available each trimester. Drop-ins are welcome when space is available.
On Fridays, the University Family YMCA offers after-school care at Magnuson Park with a van pick-up at SJCS. The YMCA also offers school's out care, including days when public schools are in session and SJCS is not. Families register directly with the YMCA.
