How to Apply

Applying to Kindergarten

Download the 2013-14 Application and Common Teacher Evaluation for Kindergarten.

 

  • Download, complete, and submit the 2013-14 Application and Common Teacher Evaluation Form to the Director of Advancement no later than January 15, 2013.
  • If applicable, submit a Tuition Assistance Application no later than January 25, 2013. Tuition Assistance Applications are only available by snail mail and can be requested by e-mail or phone.
  • Attend an Open House Presentation or Prospective Parent Group Tour.
  • Schedule a Parent Interview with the Director of Advancement.
  • Schedule a preview on either January 27, 2013 or February 3, 2013.
  • Contract offers are mailed on March 14, 2013.
  • If your child is offered admission, you must return your signed contract and non-refundable tuition deposit by March 25, 2013 to guarantee placement.


Children who turn five by August 31st of the upcoming year are eligible for Kindergarten.

 

Offers of admission and placement will be based upon parent input, current teacher evaluation, and observation by SJCS educators during a small group preview.  We consider chronological age, social, cognitivie, and fine- and gross-motor skills, as well as balance and composition of the class cohort.  Final placement decisions will be made by SJCS.

Applying to Grades 1-5

Download the 2013-14 Application and Common Teacher Evaluation for grades 1-5.

 

  • Download, complete and submit the 2013-14 Application and Common Teacher Evaluation to the Director of Advancement no later than January 15, 2013.
  • Submit complete transcript to the Director of Advancement no later than January 15, 2013.
  • If applicable, submit a Tuition Assistance Application no later than January 25, 2013. Tuition Assistance Applications are only available by snail mail and can be requested by e-mail or phone.
  • Attend an Open House Presentation or Prospective Parent Group Tour.
  • Schedule a Parent Interview with the Director of Advancement.
  • Schedule a school visit for your student with the Director of Advancement.
  • Contract offers are mailed on March 14, 2013.
  • If your child is offered admission, you must return your signed contract and non-refundable tuition deposit by March 25, 2013 to guarantee placement.
